Nepal - The 7th "Don Bosco" Inter-school Football Tournament attracts four hundred young footballers
Bharoul, Nepal - October 2023 - The 7th "Don Bosco" Inter-school Football Tournament, held at the "Bharoul Don Bosco School", from 1 to 13 October 2023, was an exciting 13-day competition that honed the playing skills of 400 young footballers. This tournament, which started in 2015, has been hosted at the Don Bosco Centre, is a well-known annual event in the region, bringing more unity and collaboration between the schools in the area. Hundreds of football fans flocked each day to watch the matches played by 25 teams in the two categories of High school and Higher secondary school. Every day of the match featured a cultural programme and a prominent local personality as the main guest. The 'Don Bosco School' and the neighbouring 'Morning Star School', both run by the Salesians, provide the students with a quality education and an all-round formation. The 5 Salesians who serve at the 'Bharoul Don Bosco School' and the 'Morning Star School' form a single community. These two presences are part of the 9 Salesian presences in Nepal where the Salesians have been present for 31 years.
