Canada - The International Association for Positive Psychology rewards a Salesian for his contribution to research
Vancouver, Canada - October 2023 - Fr Sahaya Gnanaselvam, SDB, of the Salesian East Africa Province (AFE), was recently honoured by the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA) for his contribution to research and practice of using a scientific approach to spirituality and meaning within the framework of positive psychology. The announcement was made at the International Congress in Vancouver, Canada. Positive psychology is the science of well-being and authentic happiness. Since completing his doctorate in psychology at Heythrop College, University of London, in 2012, Fr Sahaya Gnanaselvam has published seven books and 40 peer-reviewed scientific articles and books. He has also developed manuals on character formation for young people to contribute to their well-being.
