Alcobaça, Portugal - October 2023 - About a hundred young people from the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM), from various Salesian houses and the houses of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, gathered in Alcobaça to take part in a pilgrimage on foot to the Shrine at Fatima, on 7 and 8 October. The young people, who participated in the WYD in Lisbon, followed a spiritual process made up of testimonies, themes, reflections, the Sacrament of the Eucharist and Reconciliation, meetings, sharing, dynamics and a lot of Salesian joy. The pilgrimage, under the title of "We follow you without fear" was prepared by young people in the SYM, accompanied by the Salesians and the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians. The event was attended by the Salesian Provincial of Portugal, Fr Tarcízio Morais, who presided at the Saturday Mass, Our Lady of the Rosary Memorial Day. Sister Deolinda Teixeira, FMA Provincial, was a pilgrim with the young people, offering her testimony, friendship and companionship.
