Tlazala, Mexico - September 2023 - On 23 and 24 September, the "Formation Workshop for Salesian Animators" was organized by the Youth Pastoral Office of the Salesian Province of Mexico (MEM) by its leader Fr Hugo Herrera Rosales, Provincial Delegate for Youth Pastoral Care. The event was attended by hundreds of young leaders of the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM), who animate the works and live the values and principles of the Salesian charism. The workshop aimed to strengthen the charismatic identity of Salesian animators, offering them theoretical and practical elements necessary for the pastoral animation of Salesian youth groups. The work and activities of the workshop were developed along two thematic themes: Initiation to Salesian youth spirituality (biographical characters of Don Bosco) and Profile of the Salesian Animator (Youth Leadership, Identity of the Christian Leader and Tools for planning a group session). The following Francisco Jasier Cabrera, Fr Herrera and Fr Ignacio Ocampo Uribe, Superior of the MEM Province accompanied the workshop.
