Lisbon, Portugal - 4 August 2023 - Among the thousands of young pilgrims of the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) taking part in WYD in Lisbon are also the boys and girls summoned by the Salesian Province "St Francis de Sales" of France and South Belgium. For the occasion of WYD, one of the group's young people designed a flag that brings together the features of the group's different souls: it features the tricolour of France and that of Belgium, the white crescent of Tunisia, the green star of Morocco, the figure of Don Bosco and the Salesian logo, not forgetting, of course, the logo of WYD Lisbon 2023. The leaders of the group are also a well-matched 'mix': there are two lay people - Madj, a Salesian Cooperator from Syria who lives in Paris, and Stéphanie, a French Salesian Cooperator from Argenteuil; Sr. Chimène, a Congolese Daughter of Mary Help of Christians, a missionary in Tunisia, and Fr. Xavier Ernst, a Belgian, parish priest in Paris and FRB Provincial Delegate for Youth Ministry.
