Rwanda – Two thousand people attend the priestly ordination of Salesian Jean Claude Uwizeyimana
Kimihurura, Rwanda – July 2023 – The priestly ordination of Salesian Deacon Jean Claude Uwizeyimana, a member of the Salesian Africa Great Lakes Vice-Province (AGL), was celebrated at the football field belonging to the Salesian work in Kimihurura on 9 July. The ordaining prelate was Bishop Servilien Nzakamwita, Bishop Emeritus of Byumba. Fr Pierre-Célestin Ngoboka, AGL Superior, his council and many Salesian, diocesan and other congregational priests accompanied the bishop to the altar. About two thousand people attended the event, while others participated online. Many Salesians, members of the Salesian Family, consecrated men and women, co-workers and young people attended.
