United States - A plaque in memory of Boston's "Don Bosco" Technical School
Boston, United States - April 2023 - Last April 23, about 140 people gathered at the "Doubletree Hotel" in downtown Boston, the building that once housed the "Don Bosco" Technical School, where thousands of Boston-area youth were educated between 1955 and 1998. Most of the participants were Past Pupils, Salesians, former teachers, and family members of Past Pupils. A memorial plaque and a black-and-white photo depicting the old school can now be seen in the building, both prepared at the initiative of a committee of Past Pupils, with the cooperation of the hotel management. Kevin Kelly, the lead organizer, recalled how Don Bosco shaped all of them in the most delicate and formative years of their lives.
