DR Congo - Appeal to help camp evacuees in Salesian community of Shasha
Shasha, DR Congo - April 3, 2023 - Displaced people who had fled because of the fighting over the past few days in North Kivu Province have once again returned to their camp in the Salesian community of Shasha. The IDPs are in a precarious situation, lacking food and tarpaulins to cover their huts. Salesians who had taken refuge in the Salesian community in Ngangi, Goma, also returned to their community in Shasha today and are trying, together with the AFC-East Delegation Economer, Fr. Carlos Balezi, to organize support and help for the displaced. "We appeal yet again for the help of people of goodwill to help these displaced people who are really in a precarious and miserable situation. Thank you very much for your closeness and support," said Fr. Balezi.
