Madagascar - Fr. Alphonse Owoudou continues Extraordinary Visit to Fianarantsoa
Fianarantsoa, Madagascar - March 2023 - As part of the Extraordinary Visit to the Salesian Vice-Province of Madagascar, from March 18 to 21, Fr. Alphonse Owoudou, Councilor for the Africa-Madagascar Region, visited the Salesian work in Betafo. He then went to the Fianarantsoa work where the postnovitiate collaborates with the parish in the animation of the Salesian Family and the oratory. On Sunday, March 26, the Regional Councilor presided over the meeting with the Salesian Family of Fianarantsoa. A retreat day was also celebrated for children from neighboring villages, followed by Salesian postnovices, animators and various members of the Educational-Pastoral Community and the three communities (postnovitiate and parish) of the SDB and Laura Vicuña (FMA). Fr. Owoudou's Extraordinary Visit to Madagascar and Mauritius continues until May 16. "Madagascar is the fourth largest island in the world, with a great future for the Church and for the Salesian charism," said the Regional Councilor.
