Ecuador - 3rd Meeting of Local Councils of Salesian Cooperators "Salesian Cooperators committed to mission of being leaven for today's society"

Data de Posorja, Ecuador - March 2023 - With the presence of 49 Local Councilors from the centers of the Association of Salesian Cooperators of the Province of Ecuador, the "III Meeting of Local Councils" was held from March 17 to 19 at Casa Margarita with the theme "Salesian Cooperators as Leaven for Today's Society." The meeting was a space for fraternal formation in light of the Rector Major's Strenna 2023 and was articulated through the Project of Apostolic Life (PVA) and other documents of the association. Ongoing formation topics were "Salesian Cooperators Committed to the Mission of Being Leaven for Today's Society," with facilitator Fr. Esteban Ortiz González, SDB; "Deepening Orientations for the Formation of Salesian Cooperators," Alberto Flores, SSCC; and "The Meaning of Service and Council Animation," by Rubén Palacios, SSCC. In addition, video greetings were presented by Antonio Boccia, World Coordinator of the Association; Deliana Almendras, World Councilor for the South Pacific Caribbean Region; Sister Cruz Piña, FMA, Provincial of Ecuador; Fr. Marcelo Farfán, SDB, Provincial of Ecuador (ECU); Sister Rosario Rodríguez, Delegate for the South Pacific Caribbean Region; and the "Goodnight" by Fr. David Marín, SDB, Delegate for the South Pacific Caribbean Region. Also present were SDB and FMA Delegates, Fr. Iván Segarra and Sr. Aquilina Peláez. The organization was by Verónica Mariño, Coordinator of the Province of Ecuador, and members of the Council.
