Cochabamba, Bolivia - December 2022 - The 21st Provincial Chapter of the Salesian Province "Our Lady of Copacabana" of Bolivia (BOL) was celebrated at the retreat house "Don Bosco-Fátima" from December 27-30. About 35 Salesians from all over the country attended the assembly. Fr. Leader Justiniano Flores, BOL Provincial, led a spiritual retreat with the chapter members during which they reflected on the beginnings of the "Our Lady of Copacabana" province, which celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2023. The retreat concluded with the Eucharist, presided over by Chapter Regulator Fr. Alvaro Rocabado Guzmán. The afternoon of December 27 saw the approval of the bylaws, the election of secretaries, scrutineers and moderators, and the official opening of the Provincial Chapter. Work then began in the commissions with the task of studying the pastoral action of each of the Salesian communities present in Bolivia and the goal of improving the work done, in light of its compliance with the program guidelines of the Rector Major for the 2020-2026 term. During the closing Eucharist, the Provincial encouraged the Salesians to continue the mission being carried out in Bolivia and to remember these 60 years of the life of the Province as a time both to gather what other Salesians have left behind and to continue to sow love toward God and toward the youth of Bolivia.
