Venezuela - "Searching for Bethlehem" initiative aims to sensitize young people to humanitarian missions
Caracas, Venezuela - December 2022 - The Salesian Youth Ministry of the "St. Luke" Province of Venezuela (VEN) and the Provincial Commission for Missionary Animation and Volunteering have promoted the "Searching for Bethlehem" initiative in all Venezuelan Salesian works. The goal of the event, which took place Dec. 15-24, was to raise awareness of humanitarian missions among young people and to train those who have not had missionary experience. More than 800 youth and adults participated in these experiences, bringing joy and hope to the neediest places. At the end of these experiences, some young people said they got to know the Salesians better and greatly appreciated what they do for the salvation of so many young people.
