Spain - More than 250 participants at Campobosco 2022 in Logroño
Logroño, Spain - December 2022 - Campobosco 2022 in Logroño brought together over 250 young people between the ages of 16 and 19 from the autonomous community of La Rioja, in the northern area of the Salesian Province "St. James Major." From Dec. 9 to 11, an underlying theme motivated the participants' quest: "Inwardly, Toward Others and Toward God," accompanied by this edition's hashtag, #AbrimosCaminos. Throughout this time, the essential figure of the animator as mediator and companion was especially emphasized. The experience represented a time of simplicity, joy, and believing testimony to approach the figure of Jesus. As in the same meeting held earlier in León, the reading of the story of the disciples of Emmaus was central. In the same way as Jesus, in fact, animators are called to accompany the young people they meet on their way to the Good News, with an attitude of seeking as the key to personal and Christian growth. The event was organized by the Youth Ministry Delegation with the collaboration of the Federations of Youth Centers of Boskotaldea and DonBosco Cantabria.
