Sri Lanka - Three new Salesian priests for Sri Lanka Vice-Province
Negombo, Sri Lanka-December 2022-Three Salesian deacons, Elevitivalage Gayan Chamara, Nguyen Truong Bartholomew, and Nguyen Quang Vinh Joseph, were ordained priests on Dec. 10 at the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians through the laying on of hands and consecratory prayer of Msgr. Harold Anthony Perera, Bishop of the Diocese of Kurunagala. Nguyen Truong Bartholomew and Nguyen Quang Vinh Joseph are missionaries from Vietnam who arrived in Sri Lanka for their internship. This is the first time Salesian missionaries have been ordained priests in Sri Lanka's St. Joseph Vice-Province (LKC).
