Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam - November 2022 – The General Councilor for Youth Ministry, Fr. Miguel Ángel García Morcuende, visited the Salesian community "Don Bosco Ben Cat" on November 11, where he received a warm welcome from the youth. Fr. García was accompanied by a member of the Youth Ministry Sector and Youth Ministry Delegates from the Provinces, Vice-provinces, and Delegations of South Korea, Taiwan, North and South Philippines, Australia, Thailand, Myanmar, Indonesia, Vietnam, Pakistan, and Cambodia. Welcoming the delegation was Fr. Joseph Tam, Rector of "Don Bosco Ben Cat," together with Salesians and youth from the community, who presented the various works. Afterward, the General Counselor for Youth Ministry gave a short speech addressed to the young people present. He emphasized two important things in the Salesian houses of Don Bosco: the first is joy expressed through a smile, that joy that comes not from money but from the depths of the heart, a heart that knows how to love and give love. Joy is also peace of mind. The second thing is good friends and good relationships with others. Those friends are also friends of Jesus and help to get to heaven. Concluding his speech, Fr. García thanked all the young people for their presence, their joy, and their love for him and the other Salesians, and imparted a blessing to all.
