Brazil - IV Meeting of ADMA Brazil: commit with enthusiasm to live and spread path of Salesian holiness in the intercession of Mary Help of Christians
Lapa, Brazil - July 2022 - From July 29 to 31, at the "Pius XI" Institute in Lapa, the IV Meeting of the Provincial Councils of the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA) of the six Provinces of Brazil was held: Manaus, Recife, Campo Grande, Belo Horizonte, São Paulo, and Porto Alegre. Fr. Justo Piccinini presided over the meeting’s opening Eucharist, with 22 participants, coordinated by Fr. Sérgio Lúcio, National Delegate for ADMA in Brazil. On the agenda were Salesian formation, sharing of experiences, the study of regulations, and visits to the Museum of the Salesian Work in São Paulo and the centennial Salesian Shrine of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. On the last day, the councils agreed together on proposals for the next steps, namely: in 2023 each province will hold local animation conferences; organize the V Meeting of Councils at the end of next July; and in 2024 participate with the whole Salesian Family in the World Congress of Mary Help of Christians, in Fatima, Portugal. The ADMA in Brazil reaffirmed its commitment and enthusiasm to live and spread the path of Salesian holiness in the intercession of Mary Help of Christians.
