Thailand - Seminar for New Teachers in Salesian Schools
Huahin, Thaliland – July 2022 - On 28-30 July 2022, the Commission on Salesian Schools in Thailand, under the chairmanship of Fr Smith Daengampan, together with the heads of the various Salesian schools, organized the seminar for new teachers and personnel at the Salesian Retreat House in Huahin, Prachuabkhirikhan. 45 teachers joined this seminar under the theme "The Preventive System of Don Bosco". The seminar began on the evening of 28 July 2022. Fr John Bosco Dheparat Pitisant, the Provincial Superior, presided over the open ceremony followed by a special talk to all new teachers. The main speaker of this seminar was Fr. Yarat Chaiyara, together with the SYM Thailand team and our lay mission partner. Fr. Yarat brought the new teachers to learn the history, roots, and heart of the Don Bosco preventive system. All new teachers had learned and understood the preventive system and could adapt it to be used in their schools. This seminar was going very well. All teachers were impressed and learned many things. They were ready to go back to their schools to become good "Salesian teachers."
