D.R. Congo - Salesians call for commitment to a new relationship between man and nature
Kansebula, D.R. Congo - June 2022 - On June 3 in the Higher Institute of Philosophy "St. John Bosco" in Kansebula (Lubumbashi) a Scientific Day was held on the theme: "Commitment to a new relationship between man and nature. Foundation of durable and sustainable development for an emerging Congo." This ecological theme was developed by ten university professors, men and women, religious and lay, who spoke each in his or her respective field: pedagogy, philosophy, theology, agronomy, information and communication sciences. The event was attended by final year students from various Salesian secondary schools, student delegations from various Catholic and public colleges and universities, and various religious communities. The day, which was also attended by Fr. Guillermo Basañes, Superior of the Central Africa Province (AFC), was organized by Fr. Dieudonné Besa, Rector of the "Don Bosco" Institute, and Fr. David Mubenga, Rector of the work, with the aim of awakening the Congolese conscience and inviting everyone to care for the Common Home.
