Japan – Departure of Missionary Volunteers for Solomon Islands
Narita, Japan – August 10th, 2016 – Accompanied by the Salesian Provincial of Japan, Fr. Mario Yamanouchi, 8 young missionary volunteers, guided by Fr. Peter Shin Mishima, on Wednesday, August 10th, departed from the international airport of Narita for Solomon Islands. There, for a period of three weeks, they will collaborate in the activities of the Salesian houses, taking inspiration from the slogan that this year characterised the activities of volunteer work abroad: “Tasks and Service”.
