Brazil - Study Meeting gathers Salesian Missionaries from Campo Grande Province
Meruri, Brazil - May 2022 - With the presence of the Provincial of the Salesian Province of Campo Grande (BCG), Fr Ricardo Carlos, and the Provincial Delegate for Missionary Action, Fr Wagner Galvão, the Salesian missionaries of the Province met from May 2-4 for the study of the Directory for Missionary Activity. "Many do not know the history behind the creation of the Directory, and that is why we wanted to offer the opportunity to know it, study it and fulfill it," said Fr Andelson Dias de Oliveira, Director of the Meruri Mission and coordinator of the Missions Sector of the BCG Province. Another document discussed during the meeting was "Specific Orientations for Formation in the Salesian Mission", which deals with indigenous aspirants. Other topics on the agenda were: "The history of the Bororo people", presented by Br Mário Bordignon, SDB, and an update on the process of recognizing the martyrdom of Fr Rodolfo Lunkenbein and Simão Bororo.
