India - A concert in favor of Ukraine
Shillong, India - April 2022 - On April 2, the internationally renowned choral group "Aroha Choir Shillong", in collaboration with the Don Bosco Youth Center of Shillong, organized a concert at the auditorium of the Salesian house aimed at raising funds in favor of the Ukrainian population victims of the war. Venetia K Warshong, soprano singer of the choir, who won the prestigious award "Lilian Dunn Lyngdoh Mawlong", charmed the audience of the auditorium with classical and opera pieces in six different European languages. She was accompanied by the famous pianist Pauline Warjri, founder of the "Aroha Choir" and "Aroha Children's Choir", and piano teacher. Fr Orphindro Lyngkot, Provincial of the Salesian Province of Shillong (INS), and other authorities were also present at the concert.
