Dili, East Timor - March 2, 2022 - Even though East Timor is far from Europe the Timorese people cannot close their eyes to what is happening in Ukraine. The Timorese cannot help those who are suffering, but they have decided to offer a special prayer for peace in Ukraine. The Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) of East Timor, led by Fr. Nelson Gonçalves, SDB, and Sr. Júlia Marçal, FMA, with the participation of young people from SYM and the Archdiocesan Commission of Catholic Youth of Dili (COJUCAD), several FMA sisters, Salesians, SDB aspirants, and FMA novices, organized a special prayer with adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at the "Mary Help of Christians" parish in Comoro-Dili.
