Brazil - Fr Gabriel Romero meets Rectors and Delegates of BSP Salesian Province
Sao Paulo, Brazil - February 2022 - On February 24, as part of the Extraordinary Visitation of Fr Gabriel Romero, Councilor for the America South Cone Region, to the Salesian Province of Brazil-Sao Paulo (BSP), the meeting with the Rectors of the Salesian works and the Provincial Delegates for animation of the various sectors took place. The 18 Rectors and 10 Delegates had the opportunity to present their respective commissions and presences, taking stock of the areas of implementation. Fr Romero began his speech by explaining the concerns and wishes of the Rector Major for the whole Salesian Congregation. Also, the letter written by Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, at the conclusion of the last Extraordinary Visitation, carried out in 2016, was read and shared. Subsequently, the participants were divided into four groups which reflected on different passages of the document, evaluating the situation of that time compared to today. Fr Justo Ernesto Piccinini, the BSP Provincial, gave some guidelines for the next visits.
