Indonesia - Feast of Don Bosco in Salesian novitiate of Tigaraksa
Tigaraksa, Indonesia - January 2022 - The feast of Don Bosco in the Salesian novitiate in Tigaraksa was celebrated on January 28, 30, 31. The final phase and the awards ceremony of a badminton tournament organized by the Salesian novitiate together with the laity who work in the community, mostly Muslims, were celebrated on 28 January. About 70 people took part in the day of 30 January, most of these young Catholics, who were welcomed by the opening speech by Fr Andang Kencana Aji, SDB, Rector of the Community. Then David Ben Usolin, SDB, presented a session entitled "Serve, love and forgive", which was followed by various leisure, sharing and artistic activities, the Eucharistic celebration and a quiz game with 50 questions on Don Bosco and the Salesians in Indonesia. Finally, on January 31, Fr John Laba, SDB, presided over the festive Mass, and during the homily, he invited us to reflect on some key words in the life of St. John Bosco. After the fraternal agape, the novices presented a dramatic short film inspired by Don Bosco's dream of the "Arbor of Roses".
