Brazil - In Brazilian Amazon, Salesian Family celebrates Don Bosco
Porto Velho, Brazil - January 2022 - In the city of Porto Velho, in the Brazilian Amazon, at the parish shrine "Our Lady of Fatima", Salesians of Don Bosco, Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, various members of the Salesian Family and dozens of devotees celebrated St John Bosco on the night of January 31st. The Eucharist was presided over by Fr Sérgio Lúcio, Rector and parish priest, and concelebrated by Fr Antônio Carlos. The FMA animated the liturgical songs, the Salesian Cooperators the liturgy of the Word, the Past Pupils the prayers of the faithful, and ADMA the presentation of offerings. The homily highlighted Don Bosco's moral profile, the primacy of God in his life, and his ability to lead everyone on the path of the Gospel. At the end of the celebration, there was a blessing with the granting of a plenary indulgence, followed by a moment of fraternal agape.
