Thailand - Salesian Family Day
Sampran, Thailand - January 2022 - On January 22, 60 members of the various groups of the Salesian Family of Thailand gathered at the "Savio House", in Sampran Nakorn Pathom, to celebrate the Salesian Family Day. The event, held in attendance with limited participation and broadcast online due to the pandemic, was coordinated by Fr Nopphadon Joseph, Delegate for the Salesian Family of Thailand. Participants witnessed the presentation of the Rector Major's Strenna 2022 by Fr Joseph Banchong Santisukniran, and the official opening of the celebrations of the 400th anniversary of the death of St Francis de Sales, and they celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Association of Salesian Cooperators of Thailand. The climax of the Day was reached with the celebration of the Eucharist, presided over by Msgr. Joseph Prathan Sridarunsil, SDB, Bishop of Surat Thani, during which two new Salesian Cooperators made their promise.
