Indonesia - "BLK Don Bosco Sumba" receives Governor’s visit and award for inclusiveness
Sumba, Indonesia - December 2021 – At the end of the year, the Salesian Vocational Training Center "BLK Don Bosco Sumba" received the visit of the Governor of Nusa Tenggara Timur, Viktor B. Laiskodat. Accompanied by the Head of the Government of Sumba Barat Daya, Kornelis Kodi Mete, the Governor praised the Dean of the Center, Salesian coadjutor Ephrem Santos, for the important role played by the Salesian center for the development of human resources, through the training offered, which spans many skills. The visit is a consequence of a meeting that took place in Kupang, a few days earlier, between Bro. Santos and the Governor, during which the "BLK Don Bosco Sumba" was awarded a prize for its inclusiveness towards women and people with disabilities. The award was given by the development organizations "Humanity & Inclusion" (HI) and "Circle of Imagine Society" (CIS) of Timor.
