India – A fashion show to celebrate diversity
Siliguri, India - December 2021 - Close to Christmas, the Salesian campus of Siliguri, affiliated with the Salesian Institute of Sonada, organized the "Exsurge 2021" event (Get up and take flight), aimed at celebrating India’s cultural diversity. During the two days of the event, the students on campus were able to participate in various workshops on music, dance, painting, collage, drawing, poetry, acting, photography and making short films. The last appointment was a fashion show in which 30 students from 20 different courses, dressed in the traditional clothes of different ethnic groups, paraded on the catwalk with specially choreographed music.
