Vatican - Fr Romero delivers the letters from the students of the "Dom Bosco" Institute addressed to the Pope
Vatican City, Vatican - December 2021 - Last week the 6th year students of the “Dom Bosco” Salesian Institute in Salvador received a video directly from the Vatican made by Fr Gabriel Romero, Councilor for the South Cone America Region. In the video, the Councilor greets the students and informs them that he has successfully completed his mission of delivering the letters addressed by them to Pope Francis. On the occasion of his visit to the institute, carried out at the end of October, the Regional Councilor was instructed to deliver to the Pope a collection of letters written by the students of the unit visited. These were the product of the Religious Education lessons, in which the Salesian teacher and trainee Gabriel Ferreira challenged the students to write a letter, accompanied by a drawing or illustration, on the theme: "How to build a better world". There were dozens of elaborate writings, full of creativity, optimism, and that critical sense that is exercised exclusively by children of that age.
