Italy - First Meeting on Missionary Journey
Turin, Italy - October 2021 - On Sunday 17 October, the first step towards the training in missions "Journey into the Heart of the World" 2021/2022 was organized by the Salesian Mission Animation team of the Salesians and the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians from Piedmont and the Aosta Valley. The event was useful to many young people from Salesian oratories and schools united by a deep desire for knowledge of the world around them. The FMA House, located in Piazza Maria Ausiliatrice, also hosted the meeting of the group of young people who concluded the training for the batch 2020/2021, and had carried out their mission last year in the month of August in Torre Annunziata (Italy) and in Lithuania. The group evaluated their faith experience, life in Group and their encounter with others. This first meeting allowed the batch of the new group to get to know each other through games, moments of sharing and discussions on their future dreams and goals, expectations and motivations that led them to embark on a missionary journey. It was also an opportunity for them to get to know their animators Fr Marco Cazzato, Fr Theophilus Ehioghilen, and Sister Carmela Busia. After a shared dinner and final prayer, the Salesian "goodnight" of Fr Luca Barone, concluded their first session of training towards discovering their life’s personal mission.
