Bolivia - Radio Television Ichilo: information, evangelization, education and human promotion
San Carlos, Bolivia - August 2021 - The Salesian community of San Carlos (Santa Cruz) celebrated 40 years of service for the radio station and 29 years of service for Ichilo television on 16 August. Radio Television Ichilo (RTI) is a non-profit activity of the Salesians, dedicated to information, evangelization, education, and human promotion. It is fully in sync with the doctrine of the Catholic Church: the supreme value of life, human dignity, faith in God, solidarity, democracy, and dialogue as a form of coexistence and building citizenship. The history of Radio Television Ichilo can be divided into three well-defined periods: the initial years between 1981 and 1985; years of growth between 1985 and 1992, and of stabilization between 1992 and 2003, during which the coverage of the radio and television channels were expanded, becoming so popular that it became a point of reference for cultural activities and sporting events, including international ones.
