Brazil - Second edition of "Carreata com Dom Bosco"
Salvador, Brazil - August 2021 - For the second consecutive year, the celebrations for the commemoration of Don Bosco’s anniversary were characterized by a procession of solidarity with cars. The event, called "Carreata com Dom Bosco", brought together the entire Salesian Family and a large number of faithful through the main streets of the city. Wherever the procession went, it aroused moments of great emotion with the people on the pavements to greet Don Bosco and ask for his protection. "The second edition of 'Carreata com Dom Bosco' was an expression of our love for the saint of young people. This event is a manifestation and recognition of the legacy that the Salesians have built over the course of their history in Salvador," said Fr Eudes Barreto Fernandes, director of the Salesian house. As in the previous edition, foodstuffs were collected to donate to needy families assisted by the Salesians of Salvador.
