India – Solidarity initiative for small orphans of Covid-19
Tirupattur, India - July 28, 2021 - Pratheekha, Lakshana and Keerthika are three little sisters aged between 5 and 8 who have lost their father, Sivakumar, due to Covid-19; Pranavi, an 8-year-old girl, has instead lost her mother, Kalaiarasi, again to coronavirus. Both victims of the virus worked at the "Sacred Heart" Salesian Institute in Tirupattur. For this reason, the religious community and the staff of the institute have donated one million rupees (over 11,000 euros) for the education and integral growth of small children; furthermore, the widow of Mr. Sivakumar was hired at the institute as a laboratory assistant.
