India – Salesians and young people help flood victims
Mumbai, India - July 2021 – Due to the floods that recently hit some areas of the Indian state of Maharashtra, the Salesians of the India-Mumbai Province (INB), together with the Provincial Planning and Development Office “Don Bosco Development Society”, worked in the rescue operations, and some young people were also involved. Led by the Salesians Leon Cruz and George D'Abreo, the three young people Mansoor Kanchwala, Roydon D'Souza and Denzil Joseph reached Mahad and, on July 28, they brought mats, sheets and clothing, while on the following day they prepared and delivered food, along with supplies of clean water.
