D.R. Congo - The “Mamma Margherita Bakery” opens a new store
Lubumbashi, D.R. Congo - July 2021 - On 24 July the Salesian Projects Office of the Central Africa Province (AFC) opened a new store of the "Mamma Margherita Bakery" in the Kilobelobe district, a municipality annexed to Lubumbashi, more precisely at the Manono roundabout. During the blessing ceremony, Fr Edouard Kinsamba Mutale, SDB, recalled that this activity supports the training and education of all abandoned children who are welcomed in the "Mama Marguerite" works. The Director of the Salesian Projects Office, Ms Nicole Kasongo, speaking to the inhabitants of the area, said: "Buying bread means supporting a child." The "Mamma Margherita Bakery", created two years ago, plans to open a third store in the next few days in the Plateau Karavia district.
