Cúcuta, Colombia - May 2021 - From 17 to 21 May, Fr John Jairo Gómez Rúa, Provincial of the "St Peter Claver" Province of Colombia-Bogotà, visited the Salesian community present in the Department of Norte de Santander. The Provincial's proximity was of great importance for the community. During the visit, in fact, the strengths of this community were discussed, but also the challenges and opportunities for improvement; suggestions were given and everyone was listened to, especially the young people. Fr Gómez Rúa also visited the area's new Salesian house, the “Bicentennial Boarding School”, which opened last February.
