Mexico - Virtual Pilgrimage of Salesian Family to Basilica of "Our Lady of Guadalupe"
Mexico City, Mexico - May 2021 - On May 5 the Virtual Pilgrimage of the Salesian Family 2021 took place to the National Basilica “Our Lady of Guadalupe”. The event was broadcast in real-time by the official channels of the Basilica's social networks and replicated on the social channels of the Salesian Province of Mexico City (MEM). The solemn Eucharist was presided over by Fr Ignacio Ocampo Uribe, Provincial of MEM, and concelebrated by the Provincial Council and various Salesians. Thanks to new technologies, thousands of faithful and members of the Salesian Family were able to participate. In the evening, an event of the Salesian Family was celebrated on the Zoom platform with about 300 participants. Fr Hugo Orozco, Councilor for the Interamerica Region, spoke, offered the thought of the "good night" and congratulated the Salesian Family for organizing the Virtual Pilgrimage.
