Poland - Salesian awarded for care of monuments
Warsaw, Poland - May 2021 - The Minister of Culture, National Heritage and Sport of Poland, Piotr Gliński, at the request of the Conservator of Monuments of the Podlasie Region, Małgorzata Dajnowicz, awarded the Gold Badge - an honorable recognition bestowed to those who take care of cultural heritage or carry out conservation activities - to five people who take care of the monuments of Podlasie, in a special way and with due diligence. Among the honored are: Fr Adam Wtulich, SDB, parish priest of Różanystok, and the Orthodox priest Sławomir Jakimiuk, of Jaczno. Thanks to the efforts of Fr Adam Wtulich in the Basilica of Różanystok, much work has been carried out, including: the restoration of the side altars in relief - in brick, plaster, polychrome and gilded - of the Madonna of the Rosary and the Heart of Jesus and the conservation of the side altars, including those of St John Bosco, St Anthony, and St Teresa.
