Pakistan - Salesians organize first sports event for girls
Quetta, Pakistan - December 2020 - The Salesians of Don Bosco of Quetta, together with the Sisters of the Good Shepherd, keep alive the spirit of Don Bosco's mission with various activities, among which having organized a badminton tournament for girls. The first ever sporting event for girls called “Mamma Margherita Badminton Tournament” featured 20 participants from 5 different ethnic groups and four different religions. The Don Bosco mission provided the girls with a safe space to express their talents assisted by Salesians and sisters. Despite the pandemic, the Salesians have left the doors open to the young people of Quetta, offering them the possibility of finding a place of serenity, meeting and sporting activities with football and cricket tournaments organized with the support of past pupils.
