Taiwan - Christmas of St John Bosco Parish
Taipei, Taiwan - December 2020 - The "St. John Bosco" parish, located in one of the busiest streets in Taipei, the "Ming Seng Road", celebrated the traditional blessing ceremony of the nativity scene, the Christmas tree and of the Christmas decorations, which in the context of the metropolis constitute an immediate reference to the Catholic religious festival. Furthermore, on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the traditional singing of the "Christmas Novena" composed by the Vincentian Fr Carlo Antonio Vacchetta, CM, performed for the first time on 16 December 1720 in Turin, the Salesian community sang the novena in Latin, English and Chinese.
