Papua New Guinea - Small acts of Salesian solidarity in times of pandemic
Papua New Guinea - October 2020 - The Salesians of Papua New Guinea support the population with small acts of solidarity that make a difference in this time of pandemic. The parish "Mary Help of Christians" of Araimiri, led by Fr Joseph Thanh, SDB, donated a new fishing net to seven families of the parish and taught them to fish, so that they can thus obtain a new source of income after the loss of work. In Port Moresby, the students of the "Don Bosco Technical School" of Gabutu, under the guidance of Fr Pedro Sachitula, began the harvest of the first vegetables from their new garden located in the center of the school complex, which represents a small but significant contribution to the self-sustainability of the institute.
