Uruguay - Salesian and Lay Joint Formation Day on theme "Vocational Life"
Montevideo, Uruguay - October 2020 - "What does the word vocation tell you?" With this question, Fr Alfonso Bauer, Superior of the Salesian Province of Uruguay (URU), introduced the theme of the Salesian and Lay Joint Formation Day on the theme "Vocational Life". The event was attended by the members of the management teams and the representatives of the Salesian Youth Movement, the various sectors and provincial services, and the various Salesian presences in the country. Fr Bauer explored various aspects of vocation, and then a space for sharing followed to tell about his own vocation. After a period of study and deepening of the perspective of vocational life with the interventions of various Salesians, the project of a formation program was carried out according to the provincial and local paths to be followed. The day ended with the Eucharist presided over by Fr Bauer.
