East Timor - A prestigious award for Fr Eligio Locatelli
Gleno, East Timor - May 2016 - On 20 May, on the occasion of the commemoration of the 14th anniversary of restoration of independence of East Timor, the Salesian Fr Eligio Locatelli received the "Grande Colar com a Ordem de Timor Leste". The prestigious award was presented by the President of the Republic of East Timor, the Hon. Taur Matan Ruak, for the contribution that Fr Locatelli made for the independence and development of the country. Fr Locatelli, an Italian missionary, was a pioneer of the Salesian mission in Fatumaca and founder of the Don Bosco College of Fatumaca.
