Thailand - Curriculum of "Mechatronics" at "Don Bosco Technological College"
Bangkok, Thailand - July 2020 - On 13 July the Secretary of the Deputy Minister for Education, Anucha Burapachaisri, together with officials and staff from various sectors of the Department of Education, attended the "Don Bosco Technological College" at the presentation of a new bilateral 5-year curriculum in "Mechatronics", to be implemented according to the standard used in Germany. An official from the German Chamber of Commerce, representing the Department of Education and Research of Germany, presented the curriculum in detail to those present. After the presentation, Fr Joseph Manachai Tharachai, Dean, and Fr Monthon Rojanasuthatkul, Director of the school, accompanied the delegation to visit the classrooms, including the Mechatronics laboratory, which will be attended by the first 45 students in the 2021 school year. Mechatronics ”is an interdisciplinary course of study that combines fundamental skills in mechanics, electronics, automation, computers and IT to design and build products and parts of products.
