Indonesia - Aid from Salesians to population
Jakarta, Indonesia - May 2020 - Due to the spread of the coronavirus, several regions of Indonesia have imposed large-scale social restrictions and almost all businesses and factories have had to suspend operations. As a result, many workers have been laid off and many are now struggling to meet their basic needs. The Salesians are working side by side with local organizations to help those in need, delivering masks, disinfectants, medicines, food supplies. The parishioners of the St John Bosco parish are also raising funds to be distributed to the poorest and most vulnerable families, while the Salesian Cooperators are creating masks in cloth to be given to the population.
