Costa Rica - CEDES Don Bosco produces certified protective devices
San José, Costa Rica - April 2020 - To deal with the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Salesians of Costa Rica have implemented a series of social and humanitarian aids to families in difficulty, to collaborators, to students and to those who attend parishes and oratories. In addition, the "PROLAB", a workshop of the "CEDES Don Bosco" center, with its professionals and teachers has managed to design and produce a model of medical protective mask called "PFP19". The prototype has been validated by the country's National Emergency Commission and a considerable volume of masks are currently being produced in this workshop to be delivered to the National Emergency Commission, firefighters and the many health workers who are on the front line and dealing with the emergency.
