Nigeria – Akure Don Bosco Health Center's Campaign against COVID-19
Akure, Nigeria - April 2020 - The "Don Bosco Health Center" is a clinic located in the heart of Akure, where most of the inhabitants have a low income; every month, it assists over 1,350 patients. In addition to normal activities, the clinic has launched an awareness-raising campaign among patients on COVID-19, on precautionary measures and on what to do if symptoms occur. The "Don Bosco Health Center" is undoubtedly an important center for the implementation of the ongoing awareness program against COVID-19 by the Salesians of Don Bosco in collaboration with the Catholic diocese of Ondo and the government.
