MESSAGES OF THE RECTOR MAJOR
“My dear young people: I trust in you and I pray for you. Have the courage to be counter-cultural.” (Pope Francis)
My dear friends, readers, friends of Don Bosco and his works throughout the world, and my dear Salesian Family: I greet you with all cordiality, wishing you the best in 2017, the new year that the Lord have given us as a gift.
THEY TELL ME THAT IN ALEPPO DON BOSCO IS MORE ALIVE THAN EVER! ALL THE SALESIANS HAVE REMAINED THERE, AND THEY BEAR THE REFLECTION OF THE FATHER WHOM WE LOVE
«Thank you because you have come to share the Faith with us. We used to think that maybe God had forgotten us but now we see that this is not so». I greet you most cordially, dear readers of the Salesian Bulletin, in the light of this holy Christmas which is approaching quickly. Certainly, the Son of God is born in every place on earth and for all humanity, but I wish to emphasize just how much this is also true and how much it is felt in Siberia, Mongolia, and Myanmar – in these peripheries of the world which, as a gift from the Lord, I have had the grace to visit recently.
