(ANS - Turin) - For readers of ANS, herewith the second part of the interview that the General Councillor for Social Communication, Fr Gildasio Mendes, gave to Fr Bruno Ferrero, Salesian Bulletin Editor, and which has been published in recent days in the Note di Pastorale Giovanile (NPG) magazine. In this second series of questions the General Councillor addresses some of the challenges that the web poses for young people and educators.
(ANS – Bari) – "The two youth emergencies are education and work": this was stated in an interview on the sidelines of the "Past, present and future of the Libertà district" event – one of the difficult districts in the Apulian capital – Fr Francesco Preite, National President of Salesians for Social APS, who for many years was the Director of the Salesian Redentore oratory in Bari. The Bari event was part of the Community Hub municipal initiative in support of some problematic districts such as Libertà and Enziteto.

The first part of this interesting and articulate interview, published in the magazine Note di Pastorale Giovanile (NPG), is offered today to ANS readers.
(ANS – Piura) – Fr Juan Pablo Alcas Michilot, current Superior of the Salesian Province of Peru (PER), was born on 17 August 1975 in Piura. Son of Pablo and Bertha, he met the Salesians at the oratory and was invited by Fr Casimiro Iraola to complete his vocational experience in the Salesian work in Piura, while studying accounting at the University. He was a pastoral animator in the Salesian institute in Lima, Rector of the house of formation and, later, of the Salesian house in Rimac. He was also Novice Director in Colombia and today carries out the mission of Provincial of the Salesians of Peru. Thanks to this interview we learn more about his commitment as Provincial, expectations about the Province, the role of the laity and the message he wants to leave to young people and the Salesian Family.
