Spain - October 2019 - In October, Seville, Barcelona, Valencia and Madrid hosted the meetings of the local Communication delegates of the two Spanish provinces "Mary Help of Christians" (SMX) and "St James Major" (SSM), with over a hundred of participants. The meetings for the year 2019-2020 were held with the aim of continuing to consolidate networking among the Salesian houses. Fr Javier Valiente, Provincial Delegate for SSM Social Communication, encouraged the participants to be "more proactive in generating content and communicating with the media." Carlos Martín, Provincial Delegate for SMX Social Communication, declared: "The communication of the Province is the sum of all the efforts made by the houses." The meeting was also attended by the Communication officers of "Social Platforms", "Federation of Youth Centers", the new NGO "Bosco Global" and the new "Boscosocial Foundation." In addition to good practices, the participants were able to follow practical workshops and were informed about the VI Salesian Communication Day, which will take place in Madrid on 25 February 2020.
